Wow!!!
I was shocked when I opened up WordPress and saw the date on my last post.
I would like to say that I’ve been busy doing super amazing things, but I haven’t. I spent a couple of months at home and then a couple of stops on my way to Foley, AL for the winter.
Music is a reflection of life and one song seems to always describe mine. Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes. If I‘ve learned anything while full time RVing. It’s that you have to plan and you have to have a backup plan.
This summer was supposed to be spent in the great state of Wyoming, checking off some more national parks. The President and Mr. Musk had different plans. Due to the federal cuts, the national park scene has a lot of uncertainty. Yellowstone and Tetons are two of the most expensive parks to visit and I didn’t want to worry about shortened schedules, limited tours and reduced rescue staff.
So that was the curveball that instigated a change of latitude.
So…. I looked at Minnesota and I will do this one day but currently it’s a tax problem. So maybe Wisconsin…. I really wanted to do this trip. I used Adventure Genie and ChatGPT to plan out a trip, sites to see and activities. But as it turned out I decided that I needed to be closer to home this summer. So the latitude change has turned out to be minimal.
The adventure has already started with a stop at an interesting Harvest Host, a week near Ichetucknee Springs and now Kingsland, GA where I’ve been exploring. The current plan is to work my way up the Georgia coast, back up through the state into the mountains before a short stay back in Chattanooga. Then to explore parts of Alabama that I’ve not spent time in on my way back to Foley for the winter.
It’s already included several firsts for me, lots of nature, some beach time and of course brewery exploration. So look for the the posts with photos of the adventure so far and the ones to come as I start my summer of fun.
